Annual Ontario County Agricultural District Enrollment Information 

ANNUAL AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT ENROLLMENT PERIOD

NOVEMBER 1-30

The NYS Agricultural District Program is a voluntary program that provides farmland owners and farmers certain advantages and protections as long as the land stays in the District. The Ontario County Board of Supervisors has established November 1 - 30 as the annual agricultural district review period.

At the close of the enrollment period, the requests will be reviewed by the Ontario County Agricultural Enhancement Board. They will then make recommendations regarding suitability of the land for inclusion in an Agricultural District to the Ontario County Board of Supervisors. The Board of Supervisors then determines which properties are submitted to the Commissioner of New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets for inclusion in an Agricultural District.

How to apply
Landowners must submit a signed application during the enrollment period to Ms. Kristin Mueller, Clerk of the Ontario County Board of Supervisors, that is postmarked by November 30. The 2022 enrollment form can be downloaded here. This can be filled out using Adobe Acrobat Reader.
