LEGAL NOTICE

Notice of Requests for Inclusion of Farmland in Ontario County Consolidated Agricultural District One during the 2022 Annual Enrollment Period

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, In accordance with Article 25 AA §303-b. of the New York State Agriculture and Markets Law, this Board of Supervisors established November 1st -30th as the annual thirty (30) day period within which a landowner may submit to the Board of Supervisors a request for inclusion of viable agricultural land within a certified agricultural district prior to the county established review period; and

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, That requests for inclusion of four parcels of land have been filed by landowners with the Clerk of the Ontario County Board of Supervisors in Ontario County Consolidated Agricultural District One pursuant to §303-b. during the 2022 thirty-day period; and

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, That requests for inclusion have been made for following parcels in:

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, That the Ontario County Agriculture Enhancement Board reviewed the requested inclusions and found that said parcels consist predominantly of viable agricultural land and their inclusion of would serve the public interest by assisting in maintaining a viable agricultural industry within Ontario County Consolidated Agricultural District One and has submitted a report to the Ontario County Board of Supervisors with their review and recommendations; and 

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, That said report is available for review online at https://www.ontariocountyny.gov/1608/Annual-Ontario-County-Agricultural-Distr  and at the Office of the Clerk to the Board of Supervisors, 20 Ontario Street, Canandaigua, New York 14424; and

     PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, That a public hearing will be held to consider the requests for inclusion and the recommendations of the Ontario County Agriculture Enhancement Board concerning inclusion of said parcels and any potential environmental impacts associated with this action at 6:30 pm on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at 74 Ontario St., 2^nd Floor Board Room, Canandaigua, New York 14424 and via WebEx at https://ontariocountyny.webex.com (The meeting code is 2335 252 6025 and the meeting password is BOS2023.
