DWI Memorial Garden

The Ontario County DWI Memorial Garden was constructed in March and April of 2016 by students from the Finger Lakes Technical and Career Center.  The students created the concept and built steel markers and holders for the "garden", memorializing individuals who have lost their lives due to impaired driving in Ontario County since the STOP-DWI program began in 1983.

The garden is featured on the front lawn of the Ontario County Court House each year during National Crime Victim's Week.  It is truly a garden that we hope will not grow.

Thank you to the 2021-2022 Wayne Finger Lakes BOCES welding program for keeping the stakes updated and for allowing our program to come in and speak about the program, the Memorial Garden and how important it is to Have A Plan.

Another thank you goes out the the Ontario County Building and Grounds department for assisting in the set up of the garden.  Their help and respect towards the project was immensely appreciated.
