[ARCHIVED] Medication Drop Off Sites in Ontario County

Flyer Med Drop Off

Do things fall out of your medicine cabinet when you open the door? Perhaps it is time to discard your old and outdated medications.

The Partnership for Ontario County, Drug-Free Communities will be holding medication drop offs on two Saturdays this fall. Gather up your unused or outdated medications, bring them to a drop off site and hand them to the volunteer through your car window; no questions asked. Dates, times, and locations for 2014 are as follows:

Saturday, September 27, 9-12
Tops Market in Geneva
815 Canandaigua Rd. (5 & 20)
Geneva, NY 14456

Saturday, October 4, 9-12
Victor Central School
953 High St.
Victor, NY 14564

If these dates and locations are not convenient for you, meds can be dropped off any time at the NY State Police, Troop E Headquarters at 1569 Rochester Rd. (Rt. 332) in Canandaigua. Simply place your medications in a plastic bag and drop them in the box provided; no fuss, no muss.

Items accepted include prescription and over-the-counter medications, ointments, and inhalers. Sharps and needles are not accepted.

These services are open to the public, only; no pharmacies or businesses, please.
