Cold and flu season are nearly behind us so grab a bag and take a tour of your medicine cabinet. It's time to get those old and expired medications out of the house. Bring them to the medication drop off at the Canandaigua Wegmans parking lot on Saturday, April 30, 2016 between 9:00 and noon. Just hand your bag of outdated, unwanted or unusable medications through your car window to a volunteer. It's quick and simple; no questions asked.
By disposing of your medications in this way, you can keep them out of the hands of children and out of septic and sewer systems.
The next scheduled drop off will be held at Victor Village Hall on Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
This service is provided in partnership with the following: The Partnership for Ontario County, Ontario County Sheriff's Office, Covanta Niagara Center, Finger Lakes Visiting Nursing Service, Mead Square Pharmacy, Wegmans Food Market, Ontario County Office of the Aging, Ontario County Public Health, Sustainable Finger Lakes, Thompson Health and Village of Victor.
Medications can also be dropped off any time at the anonymous drop box at the NY State Police Barracks (Troop E), 1569 Rochester Rd. (Rte. 332), Canandaigua, NY.
