[ARCHIVED] Rabies Webpage of the Month

bat

If you have ever had bats in your home, you know getting rid of them can be tricky. The procedure a nuisance wildlife company uses to remove them will depend on a few things, like where they are roosting how they are getting in and out. Additionally, if you have bats in early summer, there may be babies present, making removal even more of a challenge.

Our Rabies Coordinator would like you to know as much about bat behavior as possible when you are making arrangements to have bats removed from your home. We don't recommend any particular company when it comes to removing nuisance wildlife, but would encourage you to be well-informed when deciding who to call. This month's webpage choice should help know what questions to ask and what to look for in a bat-removal service. To find a listing of nuisance wildlife removal companies, check out the white or yellow pages in your community or on-line.
